An each way (E/W or EW displayed on site) is a bet on a certain participant to either win a competition or finish in the top 2-3-4 places (depending on number of participants). It contains two parts: a Win bet and a Place bet. Two bets of equal amounts are made; the first on a selection (e.g. a horse) to win and the second on the same selection to place.
